This July and August we are pressing pause on our weekly City Groups to enjoy a six-week, whole-church SUMMER MASH UP. As our church has grown this past year, these two months will give us the opportunity to mix it up and get to know more Citylighters in fellowship and learning together while we also ready more City Groups for the fall.
Here’s the summer schedule. For weeks two through five, we will meet at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (2216 Peters Creek Rd., 24017) at 6:30 p.m.. For the last week, we will gather at Wasena Park.
- Wed., July 8 – Kick-Off Potluck at Acts 2 Ministry building downtown
- Wed., July 22 – Pie Night
- Wed., July 29: Brown Bag Potluck
- Wed., Aug. 5 – Cookie Night
- Wed., Aug. 12 – Ice Cream Dessert Night
- Wed., Aug. 18 – River Baptisms and Grill-Out Picnic at Wasena Park
During these weeks, the kids will be lead by adults and youth as they enjoy a fun VBS in the Gospel of John, seeing Jesus to be the great “I am.” The adults and youth will have five weeks of short teachings and roundtable discussions with God’s Word through the book, Blind Spots by Collin Hansen.
