After the spring in the New Testament prayers, we now come to the summer for a season together in the Psalms. Psalms is the most quoted Old Testament book in the New, and it is one of the most treasured books of both young and old alike. These Old Testament songs declare the wonders and works of God in the scope of redemptive history. They express the range of the human experience in relation to God with anthems of faith, cries of lament, pleas for help and choruses of praise. The Psalms show us how to live humbly and honestly before God for all of life, blessing His holy name.
