Hurricane Michael Relief

Last week, Hurricane Michael devastated Gulf communities in Florida’s Panhandle. Search crews are still looking for missing persons. Relief and recovery efforts are now underway.

Two of Citylight’s members, Jimmy and Leah Glazier, are from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Last year, Jimmy took Citylight’s 16-foot trailer filled with supplies to Port Charlotte in relief after Hurricane Irma. With just a few days notice, Roanokers gave generously to this effort.

With loved ones in the Panhandle, Jimmy is now organizing a trip to Panama City. One of Glaziers’ friends, John Wobser, is a worship pastor at Northstar Church in Panama City. This church is organizing relief efforts in the area, including supply distribution. Our desire is to aid in this effort.

Here’s where we need your help. Help us get the word out about this opportunity to give. And help us fill this trailer this Wednesday evening with contributions from the supply list below. We are grateful to Ghent Grace Brethren Church for the use of their parking lot as a collection point.
