Romans Bible Study

The book of Romans is considered one of the greatest summaries of the Christian faith. Church reformers such as Martin Luther called Romans the “chief part of the New Testament” and “the purest gospel.” Theologians point to Romans to explain doctrines such as the righteousness of God and justification by faith. Evangelists use selected verses as a “Romans Road” to explain the way of salvation. Yet with all of this, it could seem too daunting to approach this book in small group study. Nevertheless, it must be remembered that Romans is not a theological textbook but a personal letter. It is a letter written by the apostle Paul to the church of Rome, a church whom he longed to visit. And in this letter, Paul takes opportunity to explain the gospel for saving faith and everyday life. Romans is given for all Christians to learn and live out.

This year we invite you to a biweekly Tuesday Bible study through Romans. We are grateful again to Ghent Grace Brethren Church for the use of their facility. Enter in door next to sidewalk on Maiden Lane. If you have any questions, contact us HERE.

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations,
according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith—
to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.
