One Day

Life is hard. Life is busy. Many are beginning or changing careers. Many are raising young families. There are relational strains, financial pressures, marital collapses, parenting challenges, employment uncertainties, cultural expectations, physical ailments and emotional exhaustions. Life feels like a grind.

One day at Christ’s return we will experience eternal rest unto perfect worship, but until that day, the Lord has given us one day of the week to rest from our work and to worship Him together. This rest is God’s example in creation, and this rest is God’s gift for covenant life.

If you are curious about the Christian faith, if you are without a church home, or especially if you are worn out in the grind of life, we invite you to visit Citylight.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Jesus in Matthew 11:28-29
