On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted 95 theses on the church door at Wittenberg—an action that helped to spark the Protestant Reformation. We are indebted to the Reformers’ courageous stand against the civil and ecclesiastical forces of their day as they recovered the truth and purity of the Gospel. And now 496 years later, these doctrines of grace continue to quicken us to a life of worship unto God, in love to neighbors and nations.
On the Sunday closest to Reformation Day, we will gather with other Roanoke Valley churches to worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and to celebrate His gift of faith to us. This year All Nations Church is organizing this service, and Westminster Presbyterian Church is hosting.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17
