Kid Month!

Psalm 78:4 We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming  generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done… 6 that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, 7 so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God.

Over a third of Citylighters are children and youth. it is a tremendous joy and responsibility to raise them in the truth and hope of Gospel. And it is our task to consider how we can also love children of this city and world in Jesus’ name.

For the next four Sundays, we will look at various opportunities to   do just this. And on the fifth Sunday, Mother’s Day, our children and youth will serve and lead in our worship service.

  • April 14 – LOCAL MISSION to women and children
  • April 21 – INTERNATIONAL MISSION to children
  • April 28 – FAMILY MISSION in adoption and fostering
  • May 5 – CHILDREN MINISTRY to our children and youth
  • May 12 – MOTHER’S DAY

Mark 9:35 And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” 36 And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, 37 “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.”
