Bibles to Uganda

Bibles To UgandaIn Advent, we remember again that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 14:6). Christ Jesus is now resurrected and ascended into heaven. One day he is coming again in second Advent, but until then, God promises that the gospel will go to all nations.

This Advent season Citylight is raising money to supply Bibles for the ministry of Serving His Children in Jinja, Uganda. SHC is team of servants who provide medical care, nutritional therapy and education to break the cycle of malnutrition. Along with this life-changing service of love, SHC also serves families in the life-saving ministry of the gospel.

Jonathan Murphy, son of Citylighters, Keven and Jeni Murphy, serves with SHC in training village pastors so that they are better equipped to shepherd their congregations. A present and continual need is to provide individuals and families with Bibles.

With every $15 given, a Bible can be provided to a individual or family in their heart language.

Here are several ways to give tax-deductible contributions to this need this Advent season. Checks should be made payable to “Citylight Church” with memo “Bibles for Uganda.” Cash gifts should be noted on the offering envelope.
